Joint Seafood DTLA Summer Block Party — July 5

Joint Seafood is taking over the block in Downtown Los Angeles with its first Summer Block Party, bringing together local food vendors, drinks and interactive experiences. Guests can sample offerings from favorites including Tacos 1986, Porto’s, SOUU LA, Fly By Jing, Just Iced Tea and Omiso, then test their skills in a latte art competition with more than $500 in prizes up for grabs.

Rustic Canyon Multi-Course Experience — July 5

Treat yourself to a tasting experience at Rustic Canyon, where the kitchen serves generous portions from a selection of its signature dishes for $85. Designed for groups of one to four, the multi-course meal offers a broad sampling of the restaurant’s seasonal menu and is available Sunday through Thursday.

2000s Hip-Hop Party — July 4

Celebrate the Fourth of July with a throwback pool party at Hotel Figueroa, where Area Codes brings the biggest hip-hop hits of the 2000s to the deck. DJ Sophenom will spin tracks from artists like Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, OutKast, Eminem and more while guests enjoy a backyard-style BBQ and holiday festivities.

Anime Expo — July 2-5

Anime Expo returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center for four days celebrating Japanese pop culture. Fans can explore the latest in anime, manga, gaming, music and fashion while enjoying special guests, panels, premieres, exhibits and exclusive merchandise at North America’s largest anime convention.

Smorgasburg Ice Cream Alley — July 5

Smorgasburg’s annual Ice Cream Alley returns to ROW DTLA for its 10th year, spotlighting some of Los Angeles’ favorite independent ice cream makers. Cool off with sweet treats from vendors including SadGirl Creamery, Moom Maam, Bernie’s, Churros El Bochito and more while sampling a wide variety of frozen desserts.
