Terranea Resort’s Food & Wine Festival — July 27

Terranea Resort is bringing together top chefs, local purveyors, and standout wineries for a one-day culinary celebration on the Pacific. Taking place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the 21+ event will feature tastings from the resort’s restaurants, regional breweries and distilleries, and entertainment spread across The Meadows and Palos Verdes Terrace. Proceeds benefit the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.

My Chemical Romance at Dodger Stadium — July 26–27

The emo legends are back and bringing their 2006-era angst to Los Angeles for two massive nights at Dodger Stadium. Joined by indie rock band Wallows, My Chemical Romance will take fans on a nostalgia-fueled ride through The Black Parade and beyond. Expect theatrical flair, emotional singalongs, and thousands of black eyeliner-clad fans celebrating the band’s enduring legacy.

Rasarumah Pop-Ups — July 25 & 29

Chef Johnny Lee’s Malaysian kitchen, Rasarumah, is hosting two special collaborations this week that spotlight some of L.A.’s favorite culinary talents. On July 25, seafood aficionados Found Oyster will join the lineup, followed by homestyle Chinese comfort from Woon Kitchen on July 29. Both nights promise inventive flavor mashups and lively vibes—reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.

Japan House Los Angeles Movie Night — July 26

Japan House kicks off its Movie & Bites series with its first animated screening: Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko. The heartwarming feature will be shown in partnership with Otafuku Foods on July 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Expect a cozy midday experience that blends storytelling, culture, and cuisine right in the heart of Hollywood.

Academy Museum of Motion Pictures: ‘American Gurl: Seeking…’ — July 24

Running through August 16, this thought-provoking film series curated by Zehra Zehra and Kilo Kish explores how women of color navigate systemic challenges in America. Featured films like Zola, Girl 6, The Watermelon Woman, and BAPS* highlight identity, resilience, and representation through a bold cinematic lens.
