Whether you’re craving great food, a cultural celebration or a memorable night out, this weekend has plenty to offer across Los Angeles. Dine LA returns with special prix fixe menus at hundreds of restaurants, while Ferragosto brings the flavors and traditions of Italy to Culver City. Little Tokyo comes alive for the annual Nisei Week festival, Rooftop Cinema Club screens fan-favorite films under the stars and Fabletics gives shoppers the chance to trade in old denim for a new pair.

Rooftop Cinema Club — Aug. 15-16

Spend the weekend under the stars with Rooftop Cinema Club as it celebrates National Date Night at the Movies Day. Saturday’s lineup features 50 First Dates and Twilight, followed by a special 25th anniversary screening of The Princess Diaries on Sunday, making it a fun outing for couples, friends and movie lovers alike.

Nisei Week — Aug. 15-23

Little Tokyo comes alive as Nisei Week returns for its 84th annual celebration of Japanese American culture and community. The multi-day festival features traditional performances, a parade, cultural exhibits, food, an anime marketplace and family-friendly activities, offering visitors a chance to experience one of Los Angeles’ longest-running cultural celebrations.

Fabletics x ThredUp One-Day Denim Swap — Aug. 15

Give an old pair of jeans a second life and score a new one during Fabletics’ one-day denim swap with ThredUp. The first 50 participants at select locations, including Westfield Century City, Los Cerritos Center and Del Amo Fashion Center, will receive a free pair of jeans when they trade in their old denim. After that, shoppers can still purchase a pair for $29 with a trade-in, while Century City guests can enjoy complimentary embroidery, snacks and gifts with purchase.

Ferragosto — Aug. 15

Celebrate Italy’s beloved summer holiday at Helms Design District, where Pasta Sisters hosts a free afternoon of food, music and family-friendly fun. From 1 to 6 p.m., visitors can enjoy local food and beverage vendors, a beer garden, live entertainment, pasta-making demonstrations and activities for all ages in the heart of Culver City.

Dine LA — Aug. 14-28

Dine LA returns for another citywide celebration of Los Angeles’ dining scene, with hundreds of participating restaurants offering special prix fixe menus for lunch and dinner. Whether you’re looking to revisit an iconic institution, book a Michelin-starred meal or try a neighborhood favorite, the two-week event makes it easier to explore the city’s diverse culinary landscape at a discounted price.
