Galantis Presents Midsommar — Jan. 9-10

Joined by Gudfella, Samantha Michelle, and Edris Omar, Galantis transforms the Hollywood Palladium into a full-blown Midsummer celebration. Expect pulsing EDM soundtracks alongside flower crowns, maypoles, themed photo booths, and a crowd ready to dance late into the night. The immersive, festival-style experience blends high-energy performances with whimsical Nordic touches, turning the venue into a vibrant playground for electronic music fans.

Bowie’s Piano Man, Mike Garson, at Live at The Sun Rose — Jan. 8-10

David Bowie’s longtime pianist and musical director Mike Garson takes over The Sun Rose for a special multi-night run honoring the icon’s legacy. Joined across the weekend by an all-star lineup that includes Billy Corgan, Chad Smith, Luke Spiller, Jake Wesley Rogers, Judith Hill, and Carmine Rojas, the residency marks both Bowie’s Jan. 8 birthday and the 10-year anniversary of his death. Expect intimate performances, deep cuts, and reverent tributes from artists closely connected to Bowie’s enduring influence.

Artists for Aid — Jan. 10

Artists for Aid brings a powerhouse lineup to the Shrine Auditorium for a benefit concert supporting the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and the Sudanese American Physicians Association. Hosted by Bella Hadid and Pedro Pascal, the night features performances from Alex G, Blood Orange, Clairo, Daniel Caesar, Faye Webster, Geese, Jazmine Sullivan, Lucy Dacus, Mustafa, Noname, Omar Apollo, Raphael Saadiq, Ravyn Lenae, Rex Orange County, Safia Elhillo, Shawn Mendes, Snoh Aalegra, Tamino, and 070 Shake. Those without tickets can tune in via livestream.

Academy Museum January Series — Through Feb. 27

The Academy Museum’s January series runs through Feb. 27, offering cinephiles a rich slate of film-centric programming. Highlights include When Man Is the Prey: Nature’s Revenge at the Movies, a deep dive into animal-driven thrillers tied to the Jaws exhibition, alongside Designing to Music: Costume, Makeup, and Hairstyling in Musical Films, which celebrates the artistry behind some of cinema’s most memorable musical moments. Screenings and installations span decades of movie history, inviting visitors to explore genre and craft in immersive ways.

Nobu Los Angeles x Golden Globes — Jan. 9-11

Nobu Los Angeles is getting in on the Golden Globes buzz with a special collaboration running Jan. 9-11. Takeout lovers can enjoy a limited-edition to-go menu featuring standout dishes like yellowtail jalapeño, caviar cups, lobster salad with spicy lemon dressing, and a trio of premium nigiri. Restaurant guests also have the option to dine in and savor a Golden-inspired entrée — golden yuzu lobster served alongside asparagus and shiitake mushrooms — for an elevated awards-season meal.
