An Evening with Eckhart Tolle at The Peacock Theater — April 4
The Linda Lindas at the Novo — April 5
The multicultural, all-girl teen punk band that broke out with their viral L.A. Public Library set—featuring the fiery anthem “Racist, Sexist, Boy”—has come a long way. With Coachella, Tiny Desk, and stadium gigs alongside Green Day and Paramore under their belts (plus a cameo in Amy Poehler’s Moxie), they’re sharper and louder than ever. Catch them at this hometown stop as they tear through tracks from No Obligation and fan favorites, with Be Your Own Pet and Pinkshift in tow.
Los Angeles Festival of Movies — now through April 6
Presented by MUBI and Mezzanine, this indie film fest brings fresh premieres and buzzy titles to some of L.A.’s coolest venues. Highlights include Magic Farm from Amalia Ulman starring Chloë Sevigny, My Dead Lover by Grace Glowicki, and Tim Robinson’s Friendship with Paul Rudd (pictured). Expect plenty of panels, parties, and cinematic gems at spots like Vidiots and the Philosophical Research Society.
