Catch them at this hometown stop as they tear through tracks from No Obligation and fan favorites, with Be Your Own Pet and Pinkshift in tow.

Los Angeles Festival of Movies — now through April 6

Presented by MUBI and Mezzanine, this indie film fest brings fresh premieres and buzzy titles to some of L.A.’s coolest venues. Highlights include Magic Farm from Amalia Ulman starring Chloë Sevigny, My Dead Lover by Grace Glowicki, and Tim Robinson’s Friendship with Paul Rudd (pictured). Expect plenty of panels, parties, and cinematic gems at spots like Vidiots and the Philosophical Research Society.

CicLAvia — April 6

Now in its 59th edition, this beloved car-free celebration returns Sunday with “Koreatown meets Hollywood,” inviting Angelenos to walk, bike, skate, or roll through city streets from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Along the route, four lively hubs will offer activities, programs, free water refills, bike repairs, parking, first aid, and more—all in support of healthy living, local biz, and traffic-free vibes.

'Beyond Barbie' at the Hammer Museum - opening April 6

Challenging tired tropes about girlhood, this new film series from the UCLA Film & Television Archive spotlights fresh, female-centered narratives at the Billy Wilder Theater. With a global lineup—mostly helmed by women—the series reclaims the coming-of-age lens with empathy, complexity, and bold self-expression. Runs through June 8.
