PanCAN PurpleStride LA — April 25

PanCAN PurpleStride LA returns to the Santa Monica Pier on April 25 with a community walk and fundraising event hosted by the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. The annual gathering brings together survivors, families, caregivers and supporters for a morning focused on awareness, remembrance and advocacy. Alongside the walk, attendees can take part in family-friendly activities, connect with local supporters and help raise funds for pancreatic cancer research and patient services.

25th Anniversary Screening of The Broken Hearts Club — April 25

The 25th anniversary of The Broken Hearts Club comes to West Hollywood Park with an outdoor screening hosted by Pride House L.A. The celebration pairs the beloved film with a lively evening of food trucks, interactive activations and a special pre-show conversation featuring director Greg Berlanti alongside cast members, including Zach Braff and Billy Porter. Porto’s x Our Place Pop-up — April 25-26

Porto’s Bakery teams up with cookware brand Our Place for a weekend pop-up on Abbott Kinney, bringing a taste of the beloved Cuban bakery to Venice. Guests can stop by for pastries, specialty drinks and limited giveaways while browsing the store’s kitchenware collection. The collaboration also includes a 15 percent discount throughout the shop, making it part tasting event, part retail experience for fans of both brands.

AfroAnimation Summit 6.0 — April 23-26

AfroAnimation Summit 6.0 returns for a four-day gathering spotlighting the past, present and future of Black animation. Founded by media and technology executive Keith White, the event connects emerging creatives with major studios, networks and industry leaders through panels, conversations and networking opportunities. This year’s lineup includes acclaimed voices such as Lynne Southerland, Peter Ramsey, Carl Jones, Jorge Gutierrez and Evan Waite, offering insight into storytelling, representation and the evolving animation landscape.

Damson Madder Pop-Up — April 23-27

British fashion label Damson Madder brings its signature playful style to Echo Park with a temporary 3,000-square-foot pop-up showcasing its latest summer collection. Shoppers can browse swimsuits, accessories and seasonal pieces while taking in the brand’s first major stateside retail moment. The experience also adds a casual food element, serving fish and chips on a first-come, first-served basis for visitors stopping by throughout the week.
