In partnership with Los Angeles Magazine, AFI Fest spotlights the acclaimed revival of Merrily We Roll Along—the filmed version of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s 1981 musical. Benjamin Millepied’s Gems returns to the stage with a contemporary ballet trilogy that fuses movement, music, and visual art into one luminous performance. Presented with support from Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels, the production showcases Millepied’s signature interplay between classical form and modern rhythm—inviting audiences into a hypnotic world where every step shimmers with emotion and precision.
