Los Angeles magazine's guide to having a great weekend

From literary performances to outdoor adventure and coastal dining, this weekend offers plenty of ways to experience Los Angeles through culture, food and community. Celebrate the city’s coffee scene as Caffe Luxxe opens a new Culver City outpost, join an empowering Women’s History Month climbing and flower-arranging event at Sender One, or catch live readings from acclaimed actors during Selected Shorts at the Getty Center. Along the coast, Nettuno launches its Sunday Supper Series in Long Beach, bringing a relaxed family-style dinner to the Fairmont Breakers, while the Academy Museum keeps the Oscars excitement going all week with screenings, panels and festive programming.
