Celebrate the city’s coffee scene as Caffe Luxxe opens a new Culver City outpost, join an empowering Women’s History Month climbing and flower-arranging event at Sender One, or catch live readings from acclaimed actors during Selected Shorts at the Getty Center. Along the coast, Nettuno launches its Sunday Supper Series in Long Beach, bringing a relaxed family-style dinner to the Fairmont Breakers, while the Academy Museum keeps the Oscars excitement going all week with screenings, panels and festive programming.

Sender One x GorpGirls Women’s History Month Event — March 14

Indoor climbing gym Sender One partners with outdoor community group GorpGirls for a Women’s History Month gathering designed to help women feel more confident exploring the outdoors. The evening includes an introductory climbing class for all skill levels followed by a flower arranging workshop led by Flower Duet. Blending movement, creativity and community, the event offers a welcoming space to try something new while connecting with other women in an encouraging environment.

Caffe Luxxe Opens in Culver City — March 12

Celebrating two decades in Los Angeles, Caffe Luxxe expands with a new outpost in Culver City. To mark the milestone, the coffee roaster is offering $1 cappuccinos and brewed coffees for customers using the Luxxista Rewards app, along with a limited-edition mug for the first 250 visitors who make a purchase. The opening continues Caffe Luxxe’s longtime focus on European-style coffee service while bringing its signature drinks and pastries to a new Westside neighborhood.

Oscars Week at The Academy Museum — March 6-15

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures celebrates Hollywood’s biggest night with a packed lineup for Oscars Week, running March 6–15. The festivities include special screenings, panels and themed programming leading up to the ceremony, along with Best Picture–inspired cocktails at Fanny’s and the museum’s annual Academy Awards watch party. The weeklong celebration offers film fans a chance to experience the excitement of the Oscars in the heart of Los Angeles.

Nettuno Sunday Supper Series — March 15

The lobby-level restaurant Nettuno at the Fairmont Breakers Long Beach launches its new Sunday Supper Series with a multi-course, family-style dinner designed for sharing. The debut menu features dishes like fried calamari, branzino and cheesecake, offering a relaxed, communal dining experience to close out the weekend. Served each Sunday beginning at 5 p.m., the series brings a classic Sunday dinner tradition to the hotel’s elegant coastal setting.

Getty Center’s Selected Shorts — March 14

Actors take the stage at the Getty Center for Selected Shorts, an evening where literature is brought to life through live readings. Hosted by Meg Wolitzer, performers including Jason Ritter, Michael Urie, Liza Weil and Sasheer Zamata present short fiction inspired by the Getty’s exhibition of early modern drawings. The performances, scheduled for 3 and 7 p.m., transform the written word into a lively theatrical experience in one of Los Angeles’s most scenic cultural settings.
