For something more mindful, MOSH BrainFest brings wellness and purpose to the beach in Santa Monica, while Grand Central Market’s Día De Los Muertos celebration wraps the weekend with churros, culture, and a screening of Coco under the lights of the Million Dollar Theater.

Fairmont Breakers HALO-ween & Día De Los Muertos — Oct. 31–Nov. 1

Long Beach’s sleek new Fairmont Breakers rooftop is making its Halloween debut in style with HALO-ween, a sky-high celebration featuring a costume contest, eerie craft cocktails, and decadent bites like wagyu brisket tacos and elote bowls. The festivities continue the next night with a soulful Día De Los Muertos gathering at Alter Ego, complete with live music, storytelling, and special cocktails honoring remembrance and community.

MOSH BrainFest 2025 — Nov. 1

Wellness meets purpose at MOSH BrainFest 2025, the signature event founded by Maria Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger to support the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement at Cleveland Clinic. Held at the scenic Regent Santa Monica, the day-long festival blends brain health and beach vibes with a mindful mix of activities—think seaside walks, book signings, wellness activations, and conversations designed to nourish both body and mind.

Openaire Halloween Gwishin Dinner — Oct. 31–Nov. 2

For a hauntingly elegant Halloween experience, The Line Hotel’s Openaire restaurant invites diners into its ethereal Gwishin Dinner, a Korean-meets-French culinary journey inspired by ghostly folklore. Día De Los Muertos at Grand Central Market — Nov. 2

Downtown’s Grand Central Market transforms into a lively Día De Los Muertos celebration, complete with the sweet scent of churros from El Moro’s pop-up cart and the warmth of community spirit. From 4 to 9 p.m., guests can enjoy festive bites before heading to the historic Million Dollar Theater for a free screening of Coco at 4:15 or 7 p.m.—a perfect blend of food, film, and tradition.
