Warner Bros. Discovery Global and Fever bring Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” to life- well, after life, with this 11,000-square-foot experience advancing the new movie in theaters on September 6. Recreated sets (the infamous waiting room!), live entertainment and photo ops (your mug on the cover of Handbook for the Recently Deceased) plus a sandworm encounter, are just a few of the devilish delights in store.
The LA Guild of Puppetry presents this string fling featuring short puppet acts, music, marionettes, shadow puppets and much more, for night of laughs and creative hand and body-driven entertainment.
KCRW's annual "Summer Nights" events have been popping up all over town- at museums, parks and more- but this time the indie station brings the party home. DJs Novena Carmel and Tyler Boudreaux spin and indie rock fuzzsters Dehd join the outdoor soiree at the station's big and breezy headquarters. KCRW HQ, 1660 Stewart St. Santa Monica.
After drawing more than 113,000 visitors in three months in New York, this powerful exhibit comes to Los Angeles. Commemorating the day when thousands of young fans gathered to celebrate life and music in Re'im Israel at the Nova Music Festival, the display illustrates how a peaceful gathering turned violent when Hamas terrorists invaded Israel and murdered 370 festival attendees, abducting over 250 individuals (including 44 from the fest). Providing a sacred space to remember victims and survivors via remnants salvaged from the festival grounds and personal belongings, it's a somber and thoughtful experience that needs to be seen. A healing tent/ lighthouse declaring “we will dance again,” is also part of the set-up adding a message of hope. Runs through Oct. 8. 8631 Hayden Place, Culver City.
