“Respect My Crown: The Rise of African American Women in California” at The Hammer Museum — Mar 6

This film screening highlights Black women’s history in California, featuring interviews with L.A. County Supervisor Holly Mitchell, L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, and California Secretary of State Dr. Shirley Weber. A post-screening panel, moderated by journalist Dominique Di Prima, will include Areva Martin, LaToya Baldwin-Clark, Pamela Bright-Moon, and Jacqueline Hamilton.

Nine Inch Nails’ The Downward Spiral Photo Exhibit — Mar 6-9

Photographer Jonathan Rach presents rare images of Nine Inch Nails at the peak of their The Downward Spiral era. Friday features a full album playback, and Saturday includes a Q&A with Rach about capturing Trent Reznor and the band in their prime.
