Los Angeles has plenty to keep you busy this weekend, whether you’re in the mood for beauty, bites, movies or a car-free adventure. Tower 28 returns to its Venice roots with its first IRL pop-up, while Oktoberfest brings a taste of Munich to the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica. Cinespia celebrates 50 years of Carrie with a spooky screening at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, La Feria de los Moles serves up a celebration of Mexican culture and cuisine, and CicLAvia opens 6.5 miles of city streets for its latest Heart of LA event.

Tower 28 Pop-up — Oct. 8-11

Tower 28 is bringing its beauty lineup to life with the brand’s first-ever IRL space. Returning to Venice, where the skin care and makeup company got its start in 2019, the pop-up invites guests to find their perfect shade match, shop limited-edition merchandise and experience the brand in person. Find it at 1306 Abbot Kinney Blvd.

19th Annual La Feria de los Moles — Oct. 11

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the 19th annual La Feria de los Moles, billed as the largest Mexican cultural and culinary event in the U.S. The festivities feature three cooking seminars, cultural performances and, of course, plenty of opportunities to sample an array of mole dishes.

Oktoberfest at Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows — Oct. 9-10

Get a taste of Munich in Santa Monica as Oktoberfest takes over the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows. The two-day celebration brings German-inspired decor, live music, street food and, naturally, plenty of beer to the seaside hotel.

Cinespia Presents: Carrie — Oct. 10

Cinespia continues its season of spooky screenings at Hollywood Forever Cemetery with a showing of the horror classic Carrie. Presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video, the evening also celebrates the film’s 50th anniversary with a specially branded See’s Candy box for moviegoers.

CicLAvia: Heart of LA — Oct. 11

CicLAvia returns with Heart of LA, opening 6.5 miles of city streets to pedestrians, cyclists, skaters and more for a car-free day of exploration. The route connects neighborhoods including the Arts District, Little Tokyo and Echo Park, inviting Angelenos to experience the city from a different perspective.
