Rooftop Cinema Club “Wooftop” Screening — July 18

Bring your four-legged friend along for a movie night under the stars at Rooftop Cinema Club’s “Wooftop” screening of A Star Is Born. Set against the downtown skyline, the dog-friendly event pairs the film with food, drinks and plenty of space for pups to join in the fun. Guests can also explore the venue’s rotating lineup of rooftop screenings throughout the season.

LA Galaxy vs. LAFC — July 17

One of Major League Soccer’s fiercest rivalries returns Friday as the LA Galaxy host LAFC in another edition of El Tráfico at Dignity Health Sports Park. The crosstown showdown follows a string of high-scoring matchups between the clubs, including a pair of dramatic draws in recent meetings, setting the stage for another can’t-miss battle.

See The Odyssey in 70 mm — July 17

Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated The Odyssey arrives in theaters this Friday, with several Los Angeles venues offering the epic on 70 mm film. Experience the sweeping adaptation in its intended format at locations including the Alex Theater, Universal Cinema at CityWalk and The Vista, making it one of the summer’s must-see big-screen events.

National Caviar Day — July 18

Celebrate National Caviar Day with decadent specials around Los Angeles. Yama Sushi Marketplace is offering its Caviar Dreambox, complete with Russian Osetra caviar, a bara-chirashi box, Japanese snacks and premium serving accessories, with pre-orders available for pickup July 17 through 19. At Uchi West Hollywood, the limited-time “Ice Cream and Pearls” dessert pairs Moscatel ice cream, funnel cake, white chocolate pearls and a quarter ounce of Kaluga caviar through July 31.

Gagosian Beverly Hills Presents Magic is sometimes very close to nothing at all — July 16- Aug. 22

As the FIFA World Cup wraps up, Gagosian Beverly Hills opens Magic is sometimes very close to nothing at all, a new exhibition by acclaimed artist Douglas Gordon centered on Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait (2006). Created with Philippe Parreno, the immersive two-screen film follows French soccer legend Zinédine Zidane over the course of a single match, offering an intimate look at one of the sport’s most iconic figures through Gordon’s distinctive artistic lens.
